Writing a Blog... I can do that!

So, I have a blog! Obviously. The reason I have a blog is kind of silly, but whatever. I’m gonna go with it: over the last year or so I have noticed many blogs popping up from friends and family.  I wanted to start blogging years ago, but could never think of anything to write about. I also would read others’ blogs and think to myself “I am sooo not witty, interesting or exciting enough to ask people to read what I put down in words.”  Well, I’ve gotten over all that!!  I have decided that if people can have entire blogs dedicated to their cats (no joke, look it up), my life might not be so bad after all. I plan to fill this blog with daily insights of my life. I figure I can just write about what I know- being a mom, an educator, a wife, a Christian woman, and any other ‘hat’ I wear on a daily basis. I know as an educator of high school students, there is never a dull moment at work!  The kids constantly reiterate how “old” I am, or try to find new ways to try to embarrass me, or (and this is their favorite) try to get me to say things so they can twist them into dirty jokes. Prime example-One time my freshman boys wouldn’t stop touching everyone in class.  I accidently slipped and said after 45 minutes of “stop touching your neighbor” over and over, “if you have to touch someone touch yourself”. Yea, you can imagine how the rest of class went after that.   Or I might write about my sweet family.  My husband and I met years ago in high school, and I have some great stories about us! Or, more likely, I will share with you folks some fun things about my sweet baby girl Addi. She is 20 months old and it never seizes to amaze me the funny, smart, cunning things she does!  I love that girl to pieces. Or I might decide to just write about anything else in my life: what I saw that was funny, what I am reading (because I am always reading), my church, my family (other than Addi and Bran- yea, I have a crazy family, don’t pretend you don’t) or whatever else pops into my mind! I hope you enjoy reading and I look forward to do it!
